NJSGA 2010 Championships Schedule Posted!
The NJSGA Championships schedule for 2010 has been announced. Click on Championships on the left navigation bar to view the full year schedule. Registration is open for most events.
Rules of Golf Seminars Announced.
With the golf season right around the corner, it´s time to brush up on the Rules of Golf. The NJSGA has scheduled three Rules of Golf seminars in March and April. They are open to NJSGA golfers and staff from NJSGA member clubs and courses. For additional information and to register, please click here. Sign up quickly as space is limited!

First, the majors. The season kicks off with the Mid-Amateur Championship at Galloway National Golf Club in early May.

Blumenfeld and Deo Share Player of the Year The NJSGA announced at the conclusion of the season that Jay Blumenfeld of Mountain Ridge Country Club and Michael Deo of High Bridge Hills Golf Club are co-winners of the 2009 Player of the Year award. The title goes to the amateur player (or players) who accumulate the most points for top finishes in a variety of tournaments during the course of the season. The NJSGA made the awards at the Celebration of Golf dinner at Crestmont Country Club on October 22.

NJSGA Holds 110th Annual Meeting The NJSGA convened its 110th Annual Meeting on October 8th at the Rock Spring Club. The meeting is a chance for the organization to review its activities and accomplishments from the past year, from Championships to committee work, and to elect new Board of Trustees members. This year’s meeting also was a passing of the baton from one Board President to another. Benjamin Del Vento, Sr. retires after completing his two-year term as President and will now serve as an Advisory Trustee. John B. Murray, a member of Spring Lake Golf Club and a partner in the Roseland-based law firm of Connell Foley, steps in as President.

MGA News. Veteran NJ golfer Allan Small, the only player in NJSGA history to capture the State Amateur, Mid-Amateur and Senior Amateur titles, has been elected to serve another year as President of the Metropolitan Golf Association.
News from FLA. Frank Esposito, Jr., the head professional at Brooklake Country Club in Florham Park, won the 57th PGA Stroke Play Championship on January 27th at PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Esposito shot rounds of 67-69-69-71 for the 12 under par victory on the 7,020 yard Wanamaker Course. The event is part of the PGA TaylorMade-adidas Golf Winter Championships.
