Championship Information & Format: Teams are comprised of two male golfers, both 55 years of age or older (as of 9/28/10), from the same NJSGA Member club/course. When combined, the total team Handicap must be 30.0 or less as of the September 15, 2010 Handicap Revision. Format is 18 Holes, Stroke Play- Gross and Net Scoring. Four Ball Format; players receive 90% of Course Handicap. All ties will be broken according to the USGA Method for Matching of Cards.

Entry Fee: $175.00 Per Team (includes lunch).

Entries Close: Wednesday, September 15 at 5:00 p.m.

Team Handicap Limit (total): 30.0
 
Transportation: Players will be required to rent motorized carts at an additional cost; see tournament details after close of entries. Players will NOT be permitted to walk and carry their own bags.

Eligibility Requirements & Formation of Teams

Teams are formed by two male amateur golfers 55 years of age or older from the SAME NJSGA member club or course (public or private) whose combined USGA Handicap Index does NOT exceed 30.0. Entries are open to teams who meet ALL of the following regulations:

   a) Both entrants must possess UNQUESTIONABLE Amateur Status, as per USGA standards.
   b) Both entrants must have reached their 55th birthday on or before September 28, 2010.
   c) Both entrants must meet ALL of these Handicap and Membership Requirements:
        1. Both entrants MUST possess an ACTIVE and VALID USGA Handicap Index as of the SEPTEMBER 15, 2010 Handicap Revision through the SAME NJSGA Member Club or Course in good standing with the NJSGA (public or private).
        2. When combined, the team total Handicap Index cannot exceed 30.0.
        3. Both entrants MUST be in good standing AND appear on the Official Handicap Roster at the same Club/Course to which they are affiliated at the TIME OF ENTRY. Both entrants must maintain their good standing and remain on the Official Handicap Roster (possess an active and valid USGA Handicap) at their member club/course through the Championship proper. 
   d) If a player enters a NJSGA Championship from a public facility or a Club Without Real Estate, he MUST be a permanent resident of New Jersey.
   e) A competitor may only enter NJSGA events from ONE CLUB/COURSE in a calendar year. The club/course from which a competitor enters his first event of the calendar year is designated his club/course for that year. (Please be mindful of this condition if you plan to participate in this event.)

THOSE WHO DO NOT MEET ALL OF THE ABOVE REQUIREMENTS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS COMPETITION.

REFUND POLICY: NO REFUND SHALL BE ISSUED AFTER THE CLOSE OF ENTRIES except in the case of illness or injury as accompanied by a physician´s notice. In this case, entry fee will be refunded minus a $50.00 surcharge. If a player withdraws prior to the close of entries (regardless of reason), entry fee will be refunded minus a $50.00 surcharge. If a player does not gain entry into an event due to oversubscription, he will be refunded in full. No refunds shall be issued for any reason after the tournament start date. All requests for a refund must be initiated via telephone by contacting the NJSGA Tournament Department at 908-241-4653. ALL REFUNDS SHALL BE ISSUED VIA CHECK.

FINAL DECISION REGARDING ACCEPTANCE OF ENTRIES IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE NJSGA. THE NJSGA RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT OR WITHDRAW AN ENTRY AT ANY TIME, BEFORE OR DURING A COMPETITION.
