18 Hole Championship Division
NOTICE: Registrant MUST be a valid credit card holder and 18 years of age (or older) to register a minor for this Championship. DO NOT PROCEED to registration unless you are 18 years of age or older.
Championship Information:
The Championship at Fairmount Country Club will be 36 Holes, Stroke Play. Eighteen holes will be played each day (Tuesday & Wednesday). The Champion will be the player with the lowest 36 hole aggregate score. In the event of a tie for the Championship, a three-hole aggregate playoff will be held immediately upon the completion of play to determine the winner. Should the tie persist, play will continue hole-by-hole until a winner is determined. The Championship will be limited to the first 90 players whose entries are received by the NJSGA prior to the close of entries on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at 5:00 p.m.
NEW FOR 2010 – 9 Hole Division - In addition to the 36-hole Championship, a nine hole tournament will be available for girls who wish to participate in an organized competition but prefer not to play in the 36-hole Championship. The event will be nine holes each day. Girls who average a nine-hole score of 60 or above are encouraged to play in the 9 hole event, although this is NOT a requirement. CADDIES ARE NOT PERMITTED IN THIS CHAMPIONSHIP.
ALL PLAYERS MUST WALK AND CARRY THEIR OWN BAGS.
SPECTATORS MUST REMAIN CLEAR OF PLAY AT ALL TIMES; SPECTATOR CARTS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED.
Starting Times will be determined by the NJSGA and forwarded to all players in advance. Players may consult the NJSGA website: www.njsga.org 6-7 days in advance for pairings and all pertinent tournament information.
Entry Fee: $75.00 (includes lunch).
Entries Close: Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at 5:00 p.m.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Entries open to female amateur golfers who meet ALL of these requirements:
a) Amateur must possess UNQUESTIONABLE Amateur Status, as per USGA standards.
b) Entrant must not have reached her 18th birthday on or before Wednesday, July 7, 2010.
c) Amateur must meet ALL of these Handicap and Membership Requirements:
1. Entrant MUST possess an ACTIVE and VALID USGA Handicap Index as of the JUNE 23, 2010 Handicap Revision.
2. This Handicap Index must be through a NJSGA Member club or course (public or private) which is in good standing with the NJSGA. (Golfers that do not hold an active and valid Handicap Index through a NJSGA member facility are not eligible.)
3. Entrant MUST be in good standing AND appear on the Official Handicap Roster at the Club/Course to which she is affiliated at the TIME OF ENTRY. Entrant must maintain her good standing and remain on the Official Handicap Roster (possess an active and valid USGA Handicap) at her member club/course through the Championship proper.
d) If Amateur enters a NJSGA Championship from a public facility or a Club Without Real Estate, she MUST be a permanent resident of New Jersey.
THOSE WHO DO NOT MEET ALL OF THE ABOVE REQUIREMENTS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS COMPETITION. FINAL DECISION REGARDING ACCEPTANCE OF ENTRIES IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE NJSGA. PRIOR TO SUBMITTING THIS ENTRY, PLEASE READ ALL RULES, CONDITIONS, AND GUIDELINES WHICH FOLLOW IN THE REGISTRATION PROCESS.
REFUND POLICY: NO REFUND SHALL BE ISSUED AFTER THE CLOSE OF ENTRIES except in the case of illness or injury as accompanied by a physician´s notice. In this case, entry fee will be refunded minus a $50.00 surcharge. If a player withdraws prior to the close of entries (regardless of reason), entry fee will be refunded minus a $50.00 surcharge. If a player does not gain entry into an event due to oversubscription, she will be refunded in full. No refunds shall be issued for any reason after the tournament start date.
