Charleston Springs Golf Course (South) – Millstone Twp., NJ

Championship & Qualifying Round Information:
CHAMPIONSHIP: The Championship at Charleston Springs (South) Golf Course will be 36 Holes, Stroke Play. The Champion will be the player with the lowest 36 hole aggregate score. In the event of a tie for the Championship, a hole-by-hole playoff will begin immediately upon the completion of play to determine the winner. The Championship field will consist 40 players including those who are exempt from qualifying (see separate list of exemptions) plus those who advance from the two separate one-day, eighteen hole qualifying rounds (plus ties).
 
QUALIFYING ROUNDS: Each qualifying rounds is 18 Holes, stroke play. Each qualifying site will be limited to the first 144 players whose entries are received by the NJSGA prior to the close of entries which is MONDAY, JUNE 14 at 5:00 p.m. ENTER EARLY; space is limited.  Players may enter only ONE qualifier. The number of players (plus ties) that will advance from qualifying to the Championship proper will be posted on-site.
 
QUALIFYING ROUND SITES & DATES:
Francis Byrne G.C., West Orange - Wednesday, June 30
Mountain View G.C., Ewing - Tuesday, July 6
 
Entry Fee: $100.00 (includes all green fees for qualifying and championship round(s).
     
Entries Close: Monday, June 14 at 5:00 pm.
     
Transportation: Motorized transportation is PROHIBITED throughout this Championship.

PRIZES:
Prizes will be awarded to the low five (5) finishers. A medalist award will be presented to the Low Qualifier at each qualifying site.

Eligibility Requirements

Entrants who do not satisfy all of these conditions are not eligible to participate in this Championship. 
Entries open to male amateur golfers who meet ALL of these requirements:
   a) Amateur must possess UNQUESTIONABLE Amateur Status, as per USGA standards.
   b) Amateur must NOT hold playing privileges, incidental or otherwise, at any facility which is not open to the general public. (Note: A golfer who appears on a Handicap Roster at any club not open to the general public is deemed to have incidental playing privileges at that facility and is therefore ineligible for this championship.)
   c) Amateur must be a permanent resident of the State of New Jersey.
   d) Amateur must meet ALL of these Handicap and Membership Requirements:
        1. Entrant MUST possess an ACTIVE and VALID USGA Handicap Index of 8.0 or less, as of the JUNE 9, 2010 Handicap Revision.
        2. This Handicap Index must be through a public NJSGA Member club/course which is in good standing with the NJSGA. (Golfers that do not hold an active and valid Handicap Index through a public NJSGA member facility are not eligible.)
        3. Entrant MUST be in good standing AND appear on the Official Handicap Roster at the Club/Course to which he is affiliated at the TIME OF ENTRY. Entrant must maintain his good standing and remain on the Official Handicap Roster (possess an active and valid USGA Handicap) at his member club/course through the Championship proper.

   e) A competitor may only enter NJSGA events from ONE CLUB/COURSE in a calendar year. The club/course from which a competitor enters his first event of the calendar year is designated his club/course for that year. (Please be mindful of this condition if you plan to participate in a team event.)

THOSE WHO DO NOT MEET ALL OF THE ABOVE REQUIREMENTS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS COMPETITION. ENTRIES RECEIVED IN BREACH OF ANY OF THE ABOVE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

REFUND POLICY: NO REFUND SHALL BE ISSUED AFTER THE CLOSE OF ENTRIES except in the case of illness or injury as accompanied by a physician´s notice. In this case, entry fee will be refunded minus a $50.00 surcharge. If a player withdraws prior to the close of entries (regardless of reason), entry fee will be refunded minus a $50.00 surcharge. If a player does not gain entry into an event due to oversubscription, he will be refunded in full. No refunds shall be issued for any reason after the tournament start date. All requests for a refund must be initiated via telephone by contacting the NJSGA Tournament Department at 908-241-4653. ALL REFUNDS SHALL BE ISSUED VIA CHECK.

FINAL DECISION REGARDING ACCEPTANCE OF ENTRIES IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE NJSGA. THE NJSGA RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT OR WITHDRAW AN ENTRY AT ANY TIME, BEFORE OR DURING A COMPETITION.
