Mays Landing C.C.’s Fraser, DiCinti Capture 10th NJSGA Senior Four Ball Championship

 

The two-man team of Doug Fraser and Tom DiCinti of Mays Landing Country Club captured the 10th New Jersey State Golf Association Senior Four Ball Championship yesterday at the Galloway National Golf Club in Galloway. Fraser and DiCinti shot a three-under par 68 to best second place finishers Vic Gerard and  Nick Marone of Eagle Oaks, who shot a one-under par 70. Robert Housen and Jim Noe of Manasquan River finished third in a match of cards, also shooting a 70. The beautiful Galloway National Golf Club was played at par-71, 6374 yards for this Championship.

 

In the Net Division, Robert Proto and Louis Pace of Little Mill Country Club shot a team low-net of 65, and won the division in a match of cards over David Lenhart and Bill Thompson of the Golf Club of New Jersey (who also shot a 65). Tony Zak and Dave Biehler of Woodlake placed third in a match of cards in the net division, shooting a 66.

 

Following is a listing of today’s prize winners (low three in both Gross and Net divisions) with ties broken according to the USGA method for matching of cards.

2nd - Vic Gerard & Nick Marone, Eagle Oaks G.C. – 35-35-70
