83^rd Father and Son Championship

August 22, 2005 – Twin Brooks Country Club, Watchung

Bert and Michael Kosup of the Ridge at Back Brook Golf Club today successfully defended their New Jersey State Golf Association Father and Son Championship, shooting a two-over par 74 at the 6265, par 72 Twin Brooks Country Club in Watchung. The Kosups defended the Charles Smith Championship trophy which they originally secured last year at Fiddler’s Elbow by outlasting Al and Allan Johnston of Baltusrol, who finished in second place with a four-over par 76.

In the Net division, William and Edward Dudes (of Architects and Newton respectively) captured the title in shooting a three-under par 69. Dick and Richard Lamperti were low-net runners-up, as they shot a two-under par 70 in this alternate shot format Championship.
