About the Event
New Jersey’s rich golf history will be celebrated in grand fashion on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, when eight of the state’s most decorated players and impactful contributors will be inducted into the New Jersey State Golf Association Hall of Fame. The third Hall of Fame ceremony and reception will take place at Galloping Hill Golf Course in Kenilworth, home of the NJSGA’s headquarters, and will recognize the Classes of 2020 and 2021.
Their inductions delayed by 18 months due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Class of 2020 boasts some of the Garden State’s most prominent players as well as several contributors who made a unique and lasting impact on the game of golf. The Class of 2020 includes Leighton Calkins, Michael Cestone, Sherry Herman, John McDermott, and Allan Small.
Three of the greatest players of their generation, Jim Barnes, Max Marston, and Marge Mason constitute the Hall of Fame Class of 2021.
The evening begins with a 6:00 p.m. cocktail reception with heavy hors d'Oeuvres, followed by a 7:00 p.m. program and 8:00 p.m. dessert.
