Caddie Scholars Gather For Social Event

By Kate Pfeffer

The Caddie Scholarship Foundation’s annual social event took place January 5th at the USGA Museum. Members of the Caddie Scholarship family, including twenty-eight current caddie scholars, came together for a few hours of networking, reflections, and tours of the Golf .

The speakers for the night included NJSGA President Tom McGovern, Caddie Scholarship Program chairman Ben Del Vento Sr., Caddie Scholarship Foundation chairman Ed Batta, Caddie Scholar Alumni and Alumni Association member John Genovese, and current scholar Jean-Mary Aubourg, who is a junior at University of Virginia. Kate Pfeffer, the USGA PJ Boatwright Jr. Intern at the NJSGA, spoke about the future goals for the program, specifically two new initiatives - a Career Networking Program and a Resume Clinic - that will be started this year.

The Caddie Scholarship Foundation would like to thank everyone who attended for making the event so successful. The Foundation would also like to thank the USGA for offering the use of its facilities, Redwoods catering providing the appetizers, as well as Kim Gianetti at the USGA for her help in organizing the event.

The Caddie Scholarship Foundation looks forward to seeing everyone at next year’s event and for participating in the Foundation’s upcoming initiatives.
