Public Invited To Special Event At Forsgate, Featuring Lpga Legend Jan Stephenson

LPGA legend Jan Stephenson will be at Forsgate Country Club on Saturday, May 19 to participate in a day that includes two special events, a golf clinic, tournament and a dinner that highlights her signature wine collection. The club is offering non-members a limited number of playing spots in the tournament, as well as the wine dinner only, and reservations are now being accepted.

"Jan is one of the LPGA’s greatest players and we’re looking forward to having her here to participate in a clinic, golf tournament and wine tasting dinner that will feature selections from her exceptional Jan Stephenson Wines,” said Chris Schiavone, managing partner of Forsgate Country Club. “This is a great opportunity for our members and the public to spend a day with Jan and sample her wines.”

There are two packages available for non-members: 1) The clinic, 18-hole tournament on the historic Banks Course, lunch on the course, cocktail reception and wine dinner, which includes a bottle of Jan’s wine for $145 per person; or 2) The wine dinner only for $95.00 (plus tax/service). Net proceeds from the golf tournament will benefit Jan Stephenson’s Crossroads Foundation, which supports combat wounded, blind/disabled veterans and first responders. During her illustrious career, Stephenson won 16 LPGA titles and three majors, including

the 1983 U.S. Women’s Open and the 1982 LPGA Championship. In all, the native Australian captured 41 worldwide professional wins. She also appeared twice on the cover of Golf World magazine and Sport magazine. She currently plays select tournaments on the LPGA Legends Tour. Stephenson was honored earlier this year with The Order of Australia Medal for her contributions to the game of golf and for her global fund-raising efforts for non-profits.
