Jeremy Wall Of Manasquan River Earns Patriot League Honor

Loyola University Maryland sophomore Jeremy Wall of Manasquan River was named the Corvias Patriot League Golfer of the Month for October, as announced by the League office last week.

Wall won his first individual title in October, the Terrapin Invitational, as he shot par or better through the two rounds to finish as the lone player under par, at 1-under 143. His victory also helped Loyola place second in the 11-team field for the second-straight year.

The Brielle, N.J., native also tied for 39th at the Wolfpack Fall Invitational and came in 66th at the Kiawah Classic by Aramark earlier this week, helping the Greyhounds secure their first-ever win over a top-10 opponent, as Loyola finished one stroke ahead of No. 9 Georgia Tech at the Turtle Point Golf Club.

In NJSGA competition this summer, Wall tied for ninth in the State Amateur and tied for 25th in the State Open. He and brother, Ethan, who is also on the Loyola golf team, combined to reach the semifinals of the State Four-Ball Championship.

Throughout the month, Wall led the Greyhounds with a 74.0 stroke average.

Since joining the Patriot League in 2013, Loyola has earned six of the 10 possible monthly awards, while this marks the first honor for Wall.

Loyola will return to action after the semester and holiday break when the Greyhounds travel to Goodyear, Arizona, to host the Loyola Intercollegiate at the Palm Valley Golf Course. Play will begin on Sunday, Feb. 28, and conclude on Tuesday, March 1
