The New Jersey PGA has officially moved into a new corporate office located at the Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club in Bedminster. Beginning on Feb. 29, the NJPGA staff is on-site full time at the 3,360-square foot facility

The building will also house the New Jersey Golf Foundation, the charitable arm of the NJPGA.

The headquarters is highlighted by a state-of-the-art indoor/outdoor training facility and the NJPGA Hall of Fame – featuring historic photos and memorabilia from the greatest players and moments throughout New Jersey’s esteemed golf history. The NJPGA/NJGF, which consists of more than 400 PGA Professionals and Apprentices, along with a section/foundation staff, is responsible for growing the game of golf throughout the state and operating more than 100 member-based tournaments each year.

Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club offers 54 holes of golf and a breadth of amenities that cater to families and corporate executives. The venue, which recently completed a multi-million dollar re-invention, is equipped with an award-winning practice facility, recently renovated clubhouse featuring state-of-the art meeting spaces and a ballroom, a range of dining options from casual to fine dining and a unique social calendar accommodating everyone in the family. Additional plans call for overnight accommodations in the form of cottages or an inn to allow visiting guests and out-of-state members to stay on property while attending events at the club.

“Fiddler’s is a natural venue to serve as the new home site for the NJPGA/NJGF corporate offices,” said Chris Hunt, Executive Director, NJGF. “Based on recent club enhancements, it is evident that the Donovan family, who serve as the club’s trustees, are fully committed to supporting their thriving membership. They also champion and support growth of the game and player development programs, a perfect complement to the NJPGA and NJGF’s mission.”

Founded in 2004 as the official charity of NJPGA, the NJGF’s mission is to positively impact lives and communities through the game of golf. With a focus on three pillars – youth, military and special needs – the NJGF offers golf programming where individuals from all backgrounds have an opportunity to experience the game in a welcoming environment. The NJGF’s focused programming, led by Golf In Schools, PGA Junior League, Boys & Girls Clubs, Special Olympics NJ, Els For Autism, PGA HOPE, etc.), all under the guidance of NJPGA Professionals, impacts more than 120,000 boys and girls in New Jersey each year.

Among its many contributions to the community, the NJGF also awards scholarships to well-deserving students, so they may continue their education at the collegiate level.

“Partnering with the NJPGA and the New Jersey Golf Foundation is a proud moment for the staff and members at Fiddler’s Elbow,” said Fiddler’s trustee Ken Donovan. “The project brings our efforts to reinvent our club full circle and allows us to give back to the community at large. Helping those who need it most is a basic tenet for our family and I know our members share in this commitment. We are all proud to be associated with these two prestigious organizations.”

Added Hunt, “The new facility will be utilized to support the NJGF’s dynamic player development programs under the guidance of PGA Professionals. Also, to support game improvement and offseason programming, the Fiddler’s Elbow membership will now have year-round access to a state-of-the-art indoor training facility, a welcome enhancement to their facilities. It’s a win-win.”
