NJSGA Helps Administer USGA Championships

Once again, the NJSGA will play a role in helping to administer USGA championships.

In 2018, the NJSGA will conduct six USGA sectional qualifiers: Women’s Open, Wednesday, May 2 at Canoe Brook Country Club in Summit; Junior Girls’, Thursday, June 21, at Old York Country Club at Chesterfield; Women’s Amateur, Monday, July 2, at Hackensack Golf Club; Women’s Mid-Amateur, Tuesday, Aug. 14, at Morris County Golf Club in Morristown; Men’s Four-Ball, Tuesday, Sept. 11, at Green Brook Country Club in North Caldwell; Women’s Four-Ball, Tuesday, Oct. 2, at Glen Ridge Country Club.

“We’re privileged to be conducting these USGA qualifiers. The first one, the U.S. Women’s Open qualifier will be at Canoe Brook, which has the distinction of hosting sectional qualifiers for both the U.S. Men’s and Women’s Open for the second time in three years,” said Mike McAneny, NJSGA Director of Tournaments and Media Relations.

The U.S. Women’s Open sectional qualifier takes place over Canoe Brook’s North Course. The Men’s U.S. Open sectional qualifier is played on June 4 on both the North and South Courses at Canoe Brook.
