The event, featuring top speakers in golf and business, takes place on Wednesday, April 4, at 3 p.m. at Galloping Hill Golf Course in Kenilworth, and is sponsored by Pernod Ricard, the No. 1 supplier of premium liquor brands worldwide.

The Golf Summit welcomes all members, officials and staff from any private or public golf facility in New Jersey, as well as members of golf-based associations in the state. Cost is $35 and includes cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at the end of the event.

The Summit brings NJ golf together under one roof, in collaboration with the New Jersey PGA Section, the New Jersey Club Managers Association, the Golf Course Superintendents Association of N.J., and the New Jersey Golf Course Owners Association, as well as leaders from various clubs and courses throughout the state.

Speakers include:

James Hankowski, of the accounting firm of Condon O’Meara McGinty & Donnelly LLP, will explore current membership and revenue trends in NJ country clubs and topics such as: How much are dues rates going up for 2018? How are the capital projects being paid for? And, does a major club renovation produce more members?

Matt Pringle, Senior Director, USGA Research, Science and Innovation, will discuss several interesting initiatives relevant to golfers and golf facilities, with updates on some new technologies designed to help facilities improve the golfer experience and manage consumption of key resources.

Patrick Winemiller of Constellation Energy, will discuss how Constellation and the PGA have teamed up to improve environmental and financial sustainability within the golf industry. Attendees can learn how Constellation, one of the nation's leading energy suppliers, can help clubs realize cost savings and improve the energy efficiency of the golf club through custom projects such as LED lighting, building automation, water conservation/irrigation, electric vehicle charging stations and more - with no upfront capital required.

David Dusek, a senior writer at Golfweek, the NJSGA’s new publishing partner for New Jersey Golf magazine. David will share insights about how consumers get their golf information, how Golfweek has adapted to meet the ever-changing communications landscape, and the growth of Big Data in golf today. He’ll also weigh in on hot topics such as: The Masters, Tiger, Ryder Cup, and equipment advances – topics that are sure to demand grill-room attention at clubs across the state!

Sponsor Pernod Ricard brand managers Pete Gati and Michael Mann will provide a brief overview on the resources available to NJSGA member clubs, including opportunities for product, merchandising and experiential support to enhance clubs’ bar branding, golf tournaments, member dining events, corporate outings, and more.
