Usa Golf Unveils Men's & Women's Olympic Uniforms

USA Golf unveiled its uniforms for the first Olympic golf tournaments since 1904 on Wednesday.

All American golfers must wear the Adidas uniforms regardless of their individual sponsorships with the exception being footwear, according to Golf Digest.

The U.S. Olympic golf team will include up to eight golfers, if four U.S. men and women are each in the top 15 of the world rankings on July 11, the cutoff date to fill the men’s and women’s fields of 60 each in Rio.

The U.S. men appear destined to have four, as there are eight in the current top 15. Jordan Spieth, Rickie Fowler and Bubba Watson are best-placed for spots, with Patrick Reed,Dustin Johnson and Zach Johnson also in contention.

On the women’s side, world Nos. 3 and 4 Stacy Lewis and Lexi Thompson have distanced themselves, with Cristie Kerr the only other American in the top 15. However,Brittany Lincicome is No. 16 and Alison Lee is No. 23 while having played 25 events in the last two years, with 24 of those coming in the last year after turning pro in December 2014.
