NJSGA Partners With Molesafe, World Leader In Early Detection Of Skin Cancer
The New Jersey State Golf Association is pleased to announce a partnership with MoleSafe, the world leader in advanced early detection and monitoring for skin cancer using Total Body Photography and Serial Digital Dermoscopic Imaging (SDDI) technology.
As an official sponsor, MoleSafe will offer NJSGA Members a myriad of educational resources and preferred pricing on both first time and re-occurring office assessments. Through an integrated marketing campaign, MoleSafe will leverage the NJSGA logo, communications channels and events to connect with their target audience to increase awareness of the dangers of skin cancer and reinforce the importance of early detection.
One in five Americans will develop skin cancer in the course of their lifetime. MoleSafe’s Skin Surveillance Program can detect melanoma at an early, and therefore, more treatable stage at less cost and significantly increasing a patient’s survival rate.
“We have found that many golfers are in the top demographic group experiencing the highest incidence of skin cancer. The highest incidence for melanoma occurs in white men age 50 and over, and many are golfers who are exposed to the sun,” said Kevin Sheridan, Chief Executive Officer of MoleSafe. “Many also don’t realize the added risk this exposure creates. Together, MoleSafe and the NJSGA are focusing on increasing awareness of skin cancer, especially melanoma, the deadliest form, and as well as year-round issues relating to potentially harmful amounts of UV exposure. Over the past three decades, the incidence of skin cancer has more than doubled and is expected to continue to increase in the decades ahead. MoleSafe, based in Millburn, N.J., partners with some of the New Jersey’s top Cancer Centers and Hospital Systems across the state, locating their state-of-the-art diagnostic offices within the hospital’s specialty Cancer and Melanoma Clinics units. MoleSafe and the NJSGA have entered into a multi-year partnership beginning in June, 2017.
