NJSGA Partners With Old Course Experience On Trip To Scotland

The New Jersey State Golf Association is announcing a travel partnership with Old Course Experience (OCE) and is offering NJSGA members the opportunity of a lifetime to explore some of the most famous links courses in the world.

OCE, the NJSGA’s preferred travel partner to Scotland and Ireland, is hosting its inaugural Scotland trip to “The Home of Golf,” visiting the West Coast and St Andrews the week of April 26-May 3, 2015.

Next July 12-15, St Andrews will serve as host for the 2015 British Open Championship.

Airfare is not included as part of the excursion.

The trip includes eight rounds of golf, a seven-night stay at two five-star hotels, breakfast, lunches and dinners, welcome receptions, executive coaches and souvenir merchandise.

Participants will tee it up at these esteemed Scottish courses: Kintyre and Alisa at Turnberry, Royal Troon (Old and Portland), Carnoustie, Kingsbarns, New Course and Old Course of St Andrews.

Four of these courses – Old Course at St Andrews, Carnoustie, Alisa at Turnberry and Old Course at Royal Troon -- have hosted the British Open a combined total of 47 times.

“This trip is a wonderful opportunity to participate in a first-class trip with members of our association who share the same passion for golf and its history, Frank O’Brien, NJSGA president, stated. “It’s a tremendous occasion for golfers to partake in a first-class trip to play some of the most famous courses in the world.”

Lodging includes three nights at the five-star Trump Turnberry Resort and four nights at the five-star Old Course Hotel at St Andrews.

Price per individual golfer, two to a room, is approximately $6,840. Cost for a golfer in a single room is an additional approx..$1,350.

Since 1996, Old Course Experience has been officially appointed by St Andrews Links Trust to manage the allocation of the guaranteed tee times on the famed Old Course.

“This is an appointment that comes with a huge responsibility as we understand every golfer making the pilgrimage to St Andrews does so with great anticipation and expectation,” said Robin Dugmore, managing director of OCE.
