2019 New Jersey Open Champion Chris Gotterup Earns Trip to 122nd U.S. Open Championship

PURCHASE, N.Y. – Chris Gotterup of Little Silver punched his ticket to the 122nd U.S. Open after earning co-medalist honors on Monday afternoon at Century Country Club and Old Oaks Country Club in the final qualifying rounds.

The 2022 U.S. Open will be contested at The Country Club in Brookline, Mass. from June 16-19.

Gotterup, who competed as a professional opened his 36-hole journey carding a 3-under par 67 at Century, highlighted by five birdies. At Old Oaks in the afternoon, Gotterup put together an even par 70 despite recording a bogey and double bogey in the final three holes.

Earning a trio of sponsor's expemptions to PGA Tour events, Gotterup will be teeing it up in the RBC Canadian Open, the Travelers Championship and the John Deere Classic as well as the U.S. Open.
