2021 Championship Registration is Open

March 15, 2021 – The New Jersey State Golf Association is excited to announce that registration for its schedule of 2021 championships is now open. To view the 2021 schedule and enter a championship, click here. The schedule of NJSGA Member Golf Days will be announced in the coming weeks.

As usual, many of New Jersey’s finest clubs and courses highlight the schedule as host sites for both championships and qualifying rounds. The season kicks-off on Monday, April 26 at Mendham Golf and Tennis Club with the first of three qualifying rounds for the 89th Four-Ball Championship to be held at Galloway National Golf Club May 18-20. The Four-Ball is the first of 24 championships to be contested this year for women, men, juniors and seniors to identify “the best in state”.

Similar to last season, a strict series of COVID-19 health and safety protocols remain in effect at NJSGA events until further notice. Those who participate in a NJSGA event are required to fully comply with the NJSGA’s protocols, as well as other local, state, and national guidelines. Those guidelines will be announced in early April. Also, due to likely limitations on tournament field sizes, those interested in entering an event are strongly encouraged to do so early.

In order to be eligible for a NJSGA championship, an entrant must possess an active and valid GHIN handicap through a NJSGA member club, course or the “NJSGA E-Club” – and also meet the specific requirements of a particular championship. To join the NJSGA E-Club, click here.

The tournament registration process will require a “player profile”, which consists of a unique username and password for each entrant. For those who played in a NJSGA event last year, that information remains the same. Those that are new to NJSGA events will be required to complete this process prior to entering an event. For team events, both partners must have a completed player profile in the system before entering. For registration instructions, click here.

Championship season will once again be highlighted by the three NJSGA “majors” – the Men’s Amateur Championship (Essex Fells C.C., July 6-8), Women’s Amateur Championship (Rumson C.C., July 27-30), and the Open Championship (Spring Brook C.C., July 19-21).

2021 also marks a momentous occasion for the NJSGA/William Y. Dear Junior Championship, slated for August 9-11. This year is the 100th playing of the NJSGA Junior Championship, and it will be held at the site of the 1st Junior Championship and birthplace of the NJSGA - Essex County Country Club.

Full information about each of the NJSGA’s 24 championships is available at NJSGA.org, and be sure to follow us via Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.
