Brigham collected two birdies and four bogeys in the first 10 holes.

“I got up to 10 and I hooked it into the trees," said Brigham "I stopped in my tracks and said, wait a second, slow down. I did and decided at that point, let's try to hit eight greens coming in with eight holes left.”

That’s exactly what Brigham did after that, carding four birdies in his remaining 8 holes to finish with the lowest score of the day with a 2-under par 70.

Brigham is one of eight golfers from Thursday’s qualifier moving on to Hominy Hill Golf Course on Wednesday, August 17 for the championship.

“I don't live far from Hominy Hill. I played in high school every year at the Monmouth County Championship, so I'm excited to kind of go out there and see if I can relive some glory.”
