Drive, Chip and Putt Entries Open; NJ to host 8 Qualifiers

The USGA, Masters Tournament and the PGA of America have announced the qualifying schedule for the 2019-2020 Drive, Chip and Putt season, with eight qualifying sites located in New Jersey. Online registration for interested is available via drivechipandputt.com.

Local qualifiers in New Jersey include: Royce Brook Golf Club in Hillsborough (June 3); Neshanic Valley Golf Club in Neshanic Station (June 6); Seaview Hotel & Golf Club in Galloway (June 9); Flanders Valley Golf Course in Flanders (June 10); Deer Run Golf & Tennis Club in Lincoln Park (June 13); Trump National Golf Club in Pine Hill (June 18); Galloping Hill Golf Course in Kenilworth (July 3), and Hopewell Valley Golf & Country Club in Hopewell (July 10).

Drive, Chip and Putt is a free youth golf development initiative aiming to help younger generations begin their lifelong connection with golf by providing a fun, interactive platform for participants of all skill levels. Open to boys and girls ages 7-15, local qualifying take place throughout all 50 states during the months of May, June, July, and August. Top performers at the local level will advance through sub-regional and regional qualifiers at some of the country’s best championship venues in July, August, and September. The top 80 performers – 40 boys and 40 girls – will earn an invitation to the National Finals at Augusta National on Sunday, April 5, the eve of the 2020 Masters.

Last year, Megha Ganne of Holmdel reached the Girls 14-15 finals. Other qualifiers from New Jersey were Rayhao Feng of Short Hills (Boys 7-9), Mihir Roperia of Cranbury (Boys 10-11) and Nathan Drogin of Essex Fells (Boys 14-15).
