Entries Open for Men's Four-Ball & Mid-Amateur Championships

FEBRUARY 15, 2022 - The ground might still be frozen in many places across the Garden State, but local players can get excited that championship season is near. Registration is now open for the first two NJSGA majors: the 90th Four-Ball Championship and the 39th Mid-Amateur Championship.

Once again, all entrants must be an active member of a NJSGA club or course (public or private) and meet all eligibility requirements. Similar to last year, the "Golf Genius" event registration platform will be used for tournament signup - all entrants must have a profile in the system. The Four-Ball will kick-off the season at Deal Golf and Country Club May 16-18. This always popular, better-ball-of-partners event will be held at the magnificent Donald Ross design known for its outstanding conditions, narrow fairways, and challenging greens. Qualifying rounds will be held at New Jersey National Golf Club in Basking Ridge on Monday, April 25, Mountain View Golf Course in Ewing Twp on Thursday, April 28 and Westlake Golf and Country Club in Jackson on Monday, May 2. The spectacular Somerset Hills Country Club in Bernardsville will be the site of the Mid-Amateur Championship Wednesday-Friday, June 8-10. Designed by A.W. Tillinghast, Somerset Hills is perenially ranked among the top courses in the entire country. Contested for male amateur golfers age 25 and above with a Handicap Index of 7.0 or less, the event is expected to reach capacity quickly. Those interested in participating are encouraged to enter early. Qualifying rounds will be held at Vineyard National Golf Club (Egg Harbor City) on Wednesday May 18; Black Oak Golf Club (Long Valley) on Monday, May 23; and Beacon Hill Country Club (Atlantic Highlands) on Thursday, May 26.
