Kepler Leads County College Of Morris To State Title

Kyle Kepler carded a 74 to take medalist honors and lead County College of Morris to first place in the Garden State Athletic Conference Tournament on Monday, April 23, at Galloping Hill Golf Course in Kenilworth.

Kepler was followed by teammates Tom Apostolico (78), Nick Axelson (79) and Rick Christensen (79) to provide CCM with a 310-329 victory over Ocean County College. Camden County College was third at 336 and Union County College fourth at 344. The GSAC Tournament is for New Jersey two-year colleges.

Named First-Team All-GSAC were Kepler, Andrew Gutierrez of Union (75), Patrick Carney (77) and Mike Spino (77), both of Ocean C.C., and Apostolico.

Second-team All-GSAC golfers include Zach Morganti of Camden (79), Axelson, Christensen, David Linthicum of Ocean (81) and Michael Haliscak of Raritan Valley (81).
