SIASCONSET, Mass. - Mark Costanza, the 100th New Jersey State Open Champion and 2020 NJSGA Player of the Year has advanced to the semifinals of the 40th U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship at Sankaty Head Golf Club in Nantucket, Massachusetts.

Costanza, 32, will tee off on Thursday, September 29 at 7:45 a.m. ET, facing Nicholas Maccario of Massachusetts.

Since competing in his previous U.S. Mid-Amateur in 2019, Costanza has made major strides in his golf game.

"Last year I had a lot of success locally in New Jersey and in the met section, so coming into this event, I knew I was playing really well, and I felt a lot differently," said Costanza Wednesday evening. "I felt like I could really, if I was playing well, have a chance to win the tournament."
