The New Jersey State Golf Association is offering three one-day Caddie Camps in 2018 for interested high school and college students. These two-hour training clinics are open to young men and women in New Jersey who are interested in caddying. Beginner caddies are welcome as are caddies who may need a "refresher" before their first loop of the season.

The caddie camps will be conducted at Canoe Brook Country Club in Summit on Thursday, April 12; at Beacon Hill Country Club in Atlantic Highlands on Tuesday, April 17, and at Essex Fells Country Club in Roseland on Thursday, April 19.

All camps begin with registration at 3:30 p.m. Starting at 4 p.m., attendees will view an introductory video, watch a power-point presentation of golf terminology and then receive on-course instruction. The camps will conclude at 6 p.m.

The first portion of each program will be held indoors and attendees should proceed through the main entrance of the clubs.

Attendees should dress in golf club appropriate attire (no jeans, cargo shorts or flip-flops) and dress appropriately for the weather , as a portion of the program is conducted outside. Sneakers are acceptable (and recommended); golf spikes are not permitted.

All participants will receive certificates of completion, which are intended to assist them in obtaining employment at area golf clubs. In addition, participants are given a roster of Caddie Managers at local clubs and their contact information.

To register, fill out the form online at If the applicant has no club affiliation or title/position, please put "n/a or none". Also be sure to check the “Amateur” box to make sure the form is complete.
