The NJSGA’s “Wednesday Roundup” will run weekly through the 2022 golf season. This weekly news summary will feature local stories and news from throughout #thestateofgolf.   • The U.S. Women’s Amateur is well underway and New Jersey’s own Megha Ganne (Holmdel), Katie Li (Basking Ridge) and Ami Gianchandani (Watchung) have advanced to match play after two days of stroke play at Chambers Bay. (Click for more)
  • Pairings and starting times have been announced for the 122nd U.S. Amateur Championship at The Ridgewood Country Club as five New Jersey natives in Austin Devereux (7 a.m., Arcola, #1), William O’Neill (7 a.m., Arcola, #10), Matthew Mattare (12:15 p.m., Arcola, #1) Mark Costanza (7:20 a.m., Ridgewood, #1) and Dougie Ergood (7 a.m., Ridgewood, #9) will be competing for the Havemeyer Trophy.   • On August 9th, Brian Gaffney of Essex Fells Country Club won the NJPGA Senior Match Play Championship at Deer Run Golf Club by defeating Frank Esposito, 1-up in the final match. (Click for more)
  • Thomas McCarthy (Millburn), Jason Bataille (Bridgewater), and Pat Wilson (Andover), Jared Mactas (Woodcliff Lake) and Ty Zebrowski (Verona) all qualified for the U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship, which will take place at Erin Hills from September 10-15. (Click for more)
  • 2021 New Jersey Four-Ball Champion Drue Nicholas of Galloway National Golf Club won the 120th Patterson Cup at St. David’s Golf Club. Michael Brown finished as runner-up. (Click for more)
  • On the Korn Ferry Tour, Max Greyserman (Short Hills) and Ryan McCormick (Middletown) are competing in the Pinnacle Bank Championship presented by Aetna from August 11-14. (Click for more)
  • Tickets are now available for the 122nd U.S. Amateur at The Ridgewood Country Club and Arcola Country Club. (Click for more)
  • The Theater Project is hosting a golf outing at Crystal Springs on September 29. The fundraiser supports theater arts. (Click for more)
