The Handicap Committee

An essential element of the USGA Handicap System is the Handicap Committee. Each golf club must appoint a Handicap Committee to ensure the integrity of each member's Handicap Index. This Committee must make certain that the members comply with the USGA Handicap System.

The position of Handicap Chairperson requires a substantial amount of time and a basic knowledge of the USGA Handicap System. Resources are available to make the job easier and the NJSGA is here to help. Contact Director of Membership Services and Handicapping, Rich Kennedy for assistance.
