Field is Set as Qualifiers for 121st New Jersey Amateur Conclude

DENVILLE, N.J. – The field is set for the 121st New Jersey Amateur presented by Provident Bank and 100 of the best amateur golfers will battle for the Edwin M. Wild Trophy at Rockaway River Country Club from July 11-13. The NJSGA conducted four qualifiers for the prestigious Garden State event, which was won by Michael Brown in 2021.

A Look into the Four Qualifiers
Lake Mohawk (May 31, 2022)

Melan Dhaubhadel, an incoming junior at the University of Louisiana at Monroe shot an impressive 4-under par 66 en route to medalist honors. Dhaubhadel notched five birdies and just one bogey at Lake Mohawk Golf Club, which played 6,245 yards.

Hawk Pointe (June 7, 2022)

Cameron Bell recorded a 3-under par 69 at Hawk Pointe Golf Club to earn medalist honors at Hawk Pointe Golf Club.

Bell, of Knickerbocker Country Club notched five birdies en route to the low round of the day, which featured 120 players. Recently, Bell was a finalist in the 90th New Jersey Four-Ball Championship alongside Max O’Hagan.

Quail Brook GC (June 11, 2022)

William Huang of Springdale Golf Club fired a six-under-par 66 to claim medalist honors at Quail Brook Golf Course in Somerset.

Huang and 13 others have advanced out of Quail Brook to the 121st Amateur Championship at Rockaway River Country Club.

Rossmoor GC (June 13, 2022)

Brian Hart, of Deal Golf & Country Club earned medalist honors, carding a 3-under par 69 in the final qualifying round of the New Jersey Amateur Championship. Hart was a semifinalist in the 90th New Jersey Four-Ball Championship in May. His four-ball partner, Anthony Campanile will also be competing at the championship after qualifying out of Hawk Pointe. 19 competitors advanced to the championship out of Rossmoor Golf Course.
